Why is love celebrated on February 14?

In times when the Roman Empire did not authorize the practice of Christianity, Saint Valentine, Bishop of Rome, protected and married young people under the Catholic faith. For this he was imprisoned and died on February 14, 270. The Catholic Church considered him a saint until 1960 when, for various reasons, the liturgy was suspended. Despite this, the celebration of love continued to exist.

Finally, in 2014, Pope Francis once again celebrated Saint Valentine in the religious sphere, in a meeting called “The joy of yes forever”.

Today we have the joy of continuing to celebrate love at home. Let’s share a creative do it yourself plan and enjoy its many benefits. Let’s get started with these Valentine’s crafts to do with kids on a fun afternoon.
